“Let everything that has breath praise the Lord! Praise the Lord!”

Psalm 150

We Gather to Worship

God’s Word highlights the importance of being rooted in love and experiencing God’s fullness together (Eph 3:14-19). Gathering corporately on the Lord’s Day is essential for us as a local church. Our corporate worship—fellowship, prayer, music, and preaching— encourages individual faith and serves as a powerful testimony. When we gather, we reflect God’s love and invite others to experience Christ's transformative power.

What to expect

When you visit IBCC, you’ll find a welcoming international church that meets together to worship and grow in faith. Our 2:00 PM service begins with prayer and singing. We sing hymns, Christian songs, and verses from God’s Word to help us memorise them. Central to our service is the teaching of God’s Word. On the first Sunday of the month, we observe the Lord’s Supper. Children remain with us during the service, engaging through activity sheets, and have a dedicated 20-minute activity-time afterward. We conclude with fellowship over coffee - an opportunity to connect, share, and get to know each other better.

We look forward to welcoming you to IBCC!

FAQ's

HOW DO I GET THERE? IS THERE PARKING IN THE AREA? We recommend you to take public transportation as there are limited parking spots in the street where our church building is located. The closest U-Bahn station is Rochusplatz which is about 6-7 minutes walk to our building. The lines 3 and 4 go through this station.  Should you choose to drive there is a parking lot at the ŞOK Supermarkt on Venloer Straße. This parking lot is open to the public on Sundays and also 6-7 minutes walk to our building.

HOW DOES A SUNDAY SERVICE LOOK? WHAT ARE THE TIMES AND WHAT CAN I EXPECT? We start our Sunday service at 2 p.m. (14:00 hours) and it usually lasts 1.5 to 2 hours. We have worship through songs, preaching of the word, and also have a time for collecting an offering and announcements. After the service ends, we usually have time for fellowship. We offer some refreshments such as coffee and cake during this time of fellowship. For children, there is a time of children’s fellowship in the basement after the service ends.

ARE THERE ANY CHILDREN SPECIFIC PROGRAMS DURING THE SERVICE? We encourage our children to be part of our Sunday service and therefore they stay in the sanctuary during the singing of songs and preaching of the sermon. At the end of the service, the children will have an opportunity to have children’s fellowship where they learn about the bible and take part in activities such as making crafts and singing songs.

IS THERE A DRESS CODE? We do not have a specific dress code, so feel free to dress in casual and comfortable clothing, or come in a formal clothing if you so desire.

I COME FROM A DIFFERENT RELIGION OR DENOMINATION. AM I WELCOME HERE? Yes! We always welcome visitors who are here to listen to God’s word and join us for our worship. If you have any questions, our elders are more than happy to answer you after the Sunday service.

DO YOU HAVE FURTHER SERVICES DURING THE WEEK? No. But if you would like to be involved in our community, there are many life groups available in Cologne throughout the week. Click this button to contact us and see what is available and if you are interested!
